TV Ratings: 'American Idol' Results in FOX Win

In the adults 18-49 demographic, FOX's 6.5 rating more than doubled the 3.0 for No. 2 ABC. CBS took third at 2.9.
The "American Idol" results show scored a 14.0/22 and 24.4 million viewers at 8 p.m., with no other network coming close. CBS was the best of the rest with "The New Adventures of Old Christine," 4.7/8, and "Gary Unmarried," 4.6/7. NBC's "Knight Rider" and a "Lost" rerun on ABC each drew a 3.6/6, with ABC grabbing a few more viewers. The CW aired a "Privileged" rerun.
CBS took the lead at 9 p.m. with "Criminal Minds," 9.5/15. FOX's
"CSI: NY," 8.1/14, kept CBS on top at 10 p.m. "Law & Order" scored only a 4.8/8 for NBC, but that was good enough to beat ABC's "Life on Mars," 3.7/6, for second.
