Scott Baio, VH1 Renew Vows

Scott Baio is 45 ... and renewed.

VH1 has picked up a second season of its show "Scott Baio Is 45 ... and Single," which follows the former teen star as he deals, belatedly, with some grown-up issues. The first season, which concluded Sunday, followed his attempts to get over his commitment-phobia via a series of confrontations with his famous ex-girlfriends.

Life coach Alison "Doc Ali" Arnold guided him along the way, and the season ended with the one-time "Happy Days" and "Charles in Charge" star proposing to his long-time girlfriend Renee Sloan, and her revelation that she's pregnant.

That, of course, is a perfect setup for another season of the show, as Baio adjusts to the idea of becoming a husband and father, as well as a stepdad to Sloan's 18-year-old daughter. Production is scheduled to begin in the fall, meaning that by the time it airs VH1 may have to change the show's title to "Scott Baio Is 46 ...," as his birthday is in September.

"Scott Baio Is 45 ..." averaged 1.3 million viewers for initial airings this summer, with about three-fourths of those viewers falling into the adults 18-49 demographic.
