Zap2it Awards: 'Fringe,' 'Community' and more of the most surprisingly awesome renewals

fringe-community-final-four.jpgThe 2011-2012 TV season might be over, but we can still relive its glory with the brand-new Zap2it Awards. Today we're taking a look at the shows we're so psyched are coming back, since their renewals weren't guaranteed. The status of some shows, like "Fringe" and "Nikita," kept us on the edge of our seats until the last minute, while the pickups of others, like "Raising Hope" and "Parenthood," were slightly less surprising.

And of course, the renewals of the perpetually bubble-prone NBC comedies "Community" and
"Parks and Recreation" are always welcome. Then there are shows like "Fashion Star" and "Touch" -- we weren't positive whether they'd be back, but we're glad they are.

Vote for the most surprisingly awesome renewal of the year below, and don't forget to check out the other categories in the inaugural Zap2it Awards!

Here are the rules: You can only vote once per IP address. (So if you want to vote from home and from work, and from your little sister's iPad, we're not going to stop you.) We'll examine the votes before we make final tallies and disqualify any votes that came from bots or automated voters, or with blocked IP addresses. The best way to campaign for your faves to win is to spread the word via social media and encourage your fellow fans to vote. Voting closes at 12:01 a.m. PST on Monday, June 11.
