sarah-michelle-gellar-ringer-twins.jpgWelcome to the first annual Zap2it Awards! Now that the 2011-2012 television season is over, we're taking a look at the best and worst of it all and letting you, our readers, vote on the moments that defined the TV year.

We kicked off our own personal awards season with a ' shipper face-off, so if you haven't voted for your favorite TV pairs, make sure to get your votes in.

This season, it was pretty trendy to put actors to work double-time. The "Fringe" fans saw some major twists in the alternate-universe versions of their characters. On "The Vampire Diaries," Katherine and Elena pulled a couple bait-and-switch moves. And of course, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Alexandra Chando starred as identical twins on "Ringer" and "The Lying Game."

Who do you think pulled off the double trouble best? Vote in the poll below for Best Actor Playing Two Characters On One Show.

Here are the rules: You can only vote once per IP address. (So if you want to vote from home and from work, and from your little sister's ipad, we're not going to stop you.) We'll examine the votes before we make final tallies and disqualify any votes that came from bots or automated voters, or with blocked IP addresses. The best way to campaign for your faves to win is to spread the word via social media and encourage your fellow fans to vote. Voting closes at 12:01 a.m. PST on Monday, June 11.  Click here to vote in other categories!
