Zayn Malik, Johnny Depp, Ed Sheeran head to the recording studio
Here's hoping we see the end result of this potential collaboration. On Aug. 12, One Direction's Zayn Malik, Taylor Swift bestie Ed Sheeran and "Pirates of the Caribbean" star Johnny Depp all headed to the same recording studio and seemingly hung out together.
Did they actually record music together? That remains to be seen. But through Twitter we can see that the trio at least crossed paths, even if Malik and Sheeran had other reasons for being in the studio as well.
Sheeran, for instance, recorded a song with The Game. "Just made a CLASSIC record with the homie 'Ed Sheeran' a.k.a. teddysphotos !!!!!!! One of the dopest," The Game tweets along with a picture of them together.
But Sheeran also tweeted earlier in the day, "Finished the @RudimentalUk session for today, back in tomorrow. Now off to make music with one of my favourite artists..." That could be referring to The Game, but also could be referring to Depp due to the vague nature of the tweet.
As for Malik, he and The Cab frontman Alexander DeLeon posed for a photo with Depp in the studio that the "Dark Shadows" actor and Sheeran were photographed entering earlier in the day. "pirate lessons from the one and only. thanks for having us, mr. depp," DeLeon tweets along with the above Instagram photo.
