Rumors of their marriage could not be confirmed

Brangelina did not tie the knot in New Orleans on Saturday, March 29, despite a report causing a rumor-building frenzy.

Instead, the couple has been in Austin, Texas recently where Brad Pitt has been fliming "Tree of Life," report celebrity news sources.

Star magazine reported the weekend wedding and claimed to have spoken to sources who had attended the event. Unfortunately, the sources weren't that reliable.

"After further investigation, the sources are not standing by their story," Star later posted on its website.

It's possible the confusion occurred because of another couple that was married in an extravagant ceremony that included police barricades that day. Pitt and Angelina Jolie were in New Orleans two weeks ago.

The Hollywood power couple, who are the parents of four children -- Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3 and Shiloh, turning 2 in May -- have said that they "will consider tying the knot when everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able."

Jolie, 32, has been married to "Eli Stone" star Jonny Lee Miller and later to Oscar winner Billy Bob Thornton. Pitt, 44, was previously wed to Jennifer Aniston.
