Angelina Jolie's Confirmed Twins Due in August
Actress keeps mum about the babies' gender
Although everyone has known Angelina Jolie is pregnant and even suspected that she was carrying double the load, she's kept hush-hush about it so far. Luckily for curious fans, her co-stars haven't been so close-mouthed.In a "Today" interview with reporter Natalie Morales, "Kung Fu Panda" actor Jack Black let slip that Jolie is expecting twins.
"You're gonna have as many as [the] Brady Bunch when you have these," he said to Jolie, upon which Morales picked up on the word "these" and asked if the actress was pregnant with twins.
"Yeah, yeah, we've confirmed that already," replied Jolie. "Well, Jack's just confirmed it actually."
During another interview with "Kung Fu Panda" star Dustin Hoffman, Morales learned that the twins are due Aug. 19.
Jolie's family with partner Brad Pitt already has four children: Maddox, 6; Pax, 4; Zahara, 3; and Shiloh, who turns 2 this month.
Although there's been speculation that the babies will be twin girls, the actress only said, "We would like to keep that private."
The voice cast of DreamWorks Animation's "Kung Fu Panda" has been doing press to promote the film at the Cannes Film Festival. The Jolie-Pitts are currently staying at Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen's historic Villa Maryland in France.
"Kung Fu Panda" centers on the lazy slacker panda Po (Black) who is fan of kung fu, but must content himself with working in his family's noodle shop. When treachery threatens, however, Po is chosen to fulfill an ancient prophecy and must study kung fu with the legendary Furious Five -- Tigress (Jolie), Crane, Mantis, Viper and Monkey -- under the leadership of Master Shifu (Hoffman). The film opens nationwide on June 6.
