Wedding reception had an 'Alice in Wonderland' theme

Rumor was made reality over the weekend when Ashlee Simpson tied the knot with her rocker fiancee.

"We're delighted to confirm that Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson were married this evening in front of family and close friends," a spokesperson for the couple told People on Saturday, May 17..

Simpson, 23, and Fall Out Boy bassist Wentz, 28, exchanged vows in front of 150 guests at her parents' Los Angeles area home.

Simpson wore an ivory lace Monique Lhuillier wedding gown, while her sister Jessica served as maid of honor. Joe performed the non-denominational ceremony. Hemingway, Wentz's English bulldog, was the ring-bearer.

Among the guests were Jessica's boyfriend, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, in addition to Donald Faison with girlfriend CaCee Cobb.

Following the wedding was an "Alice in Wonderland"-themed reception featuring a Mad Hatter's Tea Party wedding cake -- complete with top hat, teapot, stop watch and pot of flowers -- black beauty rose centerpieces and Rose Veuve Clicquot champagne.

The couple first knew each other as friends since they were both dating other people. They began seeing each other in late 2006 and announced their engagement last month. It's believed that Simpson is pregnant with their first child.
