So far, there's no confirmation of a planned walk down the aisle

Could a more permanent collaboration be in the works between Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z?

The "Crazy in Love" musical couple reportedly took out a marriage licenese in Scarsdale, New York on Tuesday morning (April 1) reports People

This has created a furor of speculation that they're about to tie the knot. The media will be on high alert ... at least for the next 60 days while the license is valid.

So far, only Knowles' rep has offered up a "No comment" to the news. It's not clear if the date of the purchase, April Fools' Day, holds any significance.

Knowles, 26, and the 38-year-old rapper, born Sean Carter, have kept their romance quiet ever since they started dating in 2002.

Beyond music, Knowles has made a name for herself in the acting world with her big-screen roles in "Austin Powers: Goldmember," "The Fighting Temptations" and "Dreamgirls." She'll play Etta James in the upcoming "Cadillac Records."
