Jayden, 2, may have had a severe allergic reaction

Britney Spears had a scare when she visited her folks back home in Louisiana when her youngest son fell ill.

Two-year-old Jayden James Federline was rushed to a Kentwood-area hospital Sunday afternoon (Nov. 9) for a mysterious malady, report celebrity gossip sites.

The UK's Daily Mail first reported Jayden suffered a suspected seizure and lapsed into a "vague and unresponsive" state. A source tells People, however, that the little boy had a bad case of hives from a "terrible allergic reaction." This story makes sense with TMZ.com's claim that he had eating "something bad."

The toddler was kept at the hospital overnight for observation and is reportedly "doing fine." It's not certain what caused his condition.

Spears, 26, appeared for a suprise appearance onstage with Madonna in Los Angeles last Thursday (Nov. 6). The trip home marks the first time she had traveled with Jayden and her other son Sean Preston, 3, since she lost custody to her ex-husband Kevin Federline.
