Singer reportedly donated sperm to artificially inseminate his friend

Who's your daddy? It appears that one lucky baby may answer the age-old question with a surprising name: Clay Aiken.

The " American Idol" runner-up has reportedly impregnated record producer Jaymes Foster, reports TMZ.com.

Foster, who is in said to be in her late 40s, is Aiken's good friend whom he stays with when he's visiting Los Angeles. She has produced several of his CDs and is the sister of record mogul David Foster.

Although full details were not revealed, it appears that Jaymes Foster was artificially inseminated and is due in August. Aiken, 29, plans to have an active role in raising the future Claymate.

Aiken's fourth album, "On My Way Here," only debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard charts on May 6. He recently toured with the Monty Python musical "Spamalot" as the brave Sir Robin.
