Former child star and Tiffany Shepis met 12 years ago

Corey Haim has at least one thing going well in his life.

The younger of "The Two Coreys" is engaged to his girlfriend Tiffany Shepis, reports his official website.

"A big mazal tov goes out to COREY -- HE IS GETTING MARRIED!!" reads the news post. "The lovely lady is Tiffany Shepis! COREY and Tiffany first met 12 years ago while COREY was on set filming 'FEVER LAKE.' They recently reunited at the Chiller Theatre autograph show & the rest is history."

The wedding is scheduled for May 9, 2009 -- which some reality TV show fans may recall is the same wedding date as "The Bachelorette" couple DeAnna Pappas and Jesse Csincsak.

Haim's website also notes that he is overcoming a "nasty case of bronchitis."

Shepis, 29, is the self-proclaimed "princess of scream" who has appeared in various films including "Blood Oath," "Bonnie and Clyde vs. Dracula" and "Zombies! Zombies! Zombies!"

Haim, 36, is best known for partnering with Corey Feldman in several movies in the '80s including "The Lost Boys" and "License to Drive" and for dealing with drug and alcohol problems after his stardom waned. They reteamed for the A&E reality show "The Two Coreys," during which there were concerns about his sobriety.
