"Office" star Craig Robinson will likely avoid jail time on drug charges after agreeing to plead guilty to one charge and enter counseling.
The 36-year-old Robinson, who plays warehouse supervisor Darryl on "The Office," has entered a "tentative guilty plea" to a felony charge of possession of ecstasy, TMZ reports. A second possession charge and a count of being under the influence of illegal drugs were dropped in exchange for the plea.
Robinson, who also co-stars in "The Pineapple Express," was pulled over June 29 in Culver City, Calif., for a traffic violation. After a search, police charged him with possession of ecstasy and methamphetamines and said he had cocaine and amphetamines in his system.
Under the plea deal, Robinson will take part in an 18-month drug counseling program. If he completes it successfully, the possession charge and the guilty plea will be erased from his record.
"Mr. Robinson really appreciates and takes seriously the opportunity which has been given to him by the court and the prosecution to have all of the charges against him dismissed," his lawyer, Blair Berk, tells TMZ.
