Gillian Anderson will become a mother for the third time.

The "X-Files: I Want to Believe" star and her boyfriend Mark Griffiths are expecting their second child together, reports People.

Anderson has a 13-year-old daughter, Piper Maru, from her first marriage to "X-Files" series assistant art director Clyde Kotz, whom she later divorced. Following that was a brief, 16-month marriage to documentary filmmaker Julian Ozanne.

She then started dating Griffiths, a businessman, with whom she had her second child, son Oscar, born in November 2006.

Anderson, 39, won an Emmy and Golden Globe for playing "X-Files" agent Dana Scully. She reprises her role in the second big-screen offering "X-Files: I Want to Believe," hitting theaters July 25.

Her other credits include the TV miniseries adaptation of Charles Dickens' "Bleak House" and on the big screen, "The Last King of Scotland" and the upcoming "How to Lose Friends & Alienate People."
