Heather Locklear Charged With DUI
The actress was allegedly under the influence of prescription medications
Just because Heather Locklear completed the rehab, it doesn't mean that she's completely out of the woods.The actress has been charged with driving under the influence of drugs, prescription medications, for a September arrest in Santa Barbara, Calif., reports People.
"Lab tests showed she had no alcohol in her system and no illegal narcotics of any kind," says Senior Deputy District Attorney Lee Carter. "We believe that the prescriptions she was taking could have impaired her ability to drive a motor vehicle safely."
No details were given about which medications or how much were found in Locklear's system.
Locklear, 47, was arrested on Sept. 27 after a paparazzo posing as an eyewitness notified the police that she was driving erratically. The actress was parked ona state highway when officers found her.
She's set to be arraigned on Jan. 26 in Santa Barbara Superior Court.
In July, Locklear exited an Arizona rehab facility where she was treated for anxiety and depression. In March, paramedics responded to Locklear's home after a 911 caller reported the actress was on the verge of a suicide attempt.
Locklear recently completed work on a Lifetime movie called "Flirting with 40." Her other recent credits include another Lifetime flick, "Angels Fall," and guest appearances on " Hannah Montana" and "Rules of Engagement."
