Singer fell ill before her Montreal concert

Janet Jackson has had another interruption to her concert tour.

The singer "got suddenly ill during the sound check" in Montreal before her concert Monday night (Sept. 29) and was rushed to the hospital, a statement released by W&W Public Relations.

So far there are no details regarding the nature of the illness, although Jackson, 42, is being monitored at the hospital and hopes to reschedule the show.

This hasn't been the only bump with Jackson's Rock Witchu Tour that also features LL Cool J. Last Friday, she called off her Detroit show due to "production constraints." That show is to be rescheduled as well. The tour is slated to run through Oct. 22.

Update: Jackson was released after a couple hours at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal.

Jackson was ill earlier this year. In April, she was supposed to appear on " Saturday Night Live" to promote her album "Discipline," but had to cancel due to bronchitis.
