The couple called it quits over the holidays

Jennifer Love Hewitt is no longer feeling the love.

The "Ghost Whisperer" star and her fiancee Ross McCall have called off their engagement, reports People.

A source claims that they broke up over the holidays and were "really sad" about it.

Hewitt, 29, had dated the Scottish actor, 32, for two years before they announced their engagement in November 2007.

Hewitt currently plays Melinda Gordon, a woman who helps spirits of deceased people to finish their earthly work and cross over into The Light, on CBS' "Ghost Whisperer." She also enjoyed success as a regular on "Party of Five" and in the "I Know What You Did Last Summer" movies.

McCall costarred in the HBO minisieres "Band of Brothers" and appeared on one episode of "Ghost Whisperer."
