Kevin Federline won't be tackling 'Legally Blonde'

Sure, Kevin Federline has showed off his acting chops on "One Tree Hill" and "CSI," but that doesn't mean he'll be treading the boards anytime soon.

Despite reports that Britney Spears' ex will be making his Broadway debut in "Legally Blonde," his fans will be disappointed to learn that isn't the case. A rep for the performer told "Extra" that the rumors were "not true."

Celebrity magazine Us Weekly had reported that Federline would be heading to New York City to appear in the Tony-nominatede musical adaptation of the Reese Witherspoon film of the same name. He was allegedly taking on three roles, including the UPS guy who inspires Elle to perfect the "bend and snap."

Now the magazine is reporting that the deal fell through because of money. His rep claims, "Nothing was ever confirmed."

So, even though Federline was a backup dancer and released an album, he won't be singing and dancing on stage right away.

Federline, who's turning 30 on March 21, currently has sole custody of his two sons with Spears: Sean, 2, and Jayden, 18 months.
