Boxing champ is 'undeniably happy'

Boxing champ, ballroom dancer, TV personality. Laila Ali will soon be able to add "mother" to her list of roles.

The "American Gladiators" co-host and her husband, retired NFL star Curtis Conway, are expecting their first child together, reports Essence magazine.

"I don't know yet if we are having a boy or a girl, but I'm excited that I have a life inside me that my husband and I created," says Ali, 30.

The boxing champ and Conway, 36, married in July 2007 in Los Angeles. Conway already has three children: daughter Leilani, 9, and twin sons Kelton and Cameron, 13.

The couple first met at a small get together Conway hosted at his house several years ago. They got engaged on Thanksgiving 2006.

"I am 100 percent undeniably happy," Ali says in the May issue, on newsstands April 11. "I've never been able to say that before."

Ali finished in third place on "Dancing With the Stars" with pro dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy and co-hosts "American Gladiators" with Hulk Hogan.
