Three guys claim they feared for their lives when the 'Herbie Fully Loaded' actress took over their vehicle

Three guys are claiming it was no joyride being in a car with Lindsay Lohan.

The "Herbie Fully Loaded" star has been sued over a July 2007 incident in which she flew into a rage at a Malibu party and then commandeered a vehicle with Ronnie Blake, Dante Nigro and Jakon Sutter inside, reports TMZ.com.

During the party, Lohan had an argument with her assistant Taryn Graham, after which Graham quit and stormed off to leave. Upon seeing this, Lohan jumped into Nigro's white GMC Denali to give chase, which took them along the Pacific Coast Highway, to Graham's house and then finally ending at the Santa Monica Police Department where Lohan was booked and found with a small amount of cocaine on her person.

In the suit filed Oct. 14 in Los Angeles Superior Court, the three guys allege that Lohan was obviously intoxicated and that they pleaded with her to stop driving at such high speeds since she was endangering their lives. Not only did she ignore their pleas, but supposedly she was also hostile, claimed she didn't "care about the risk of death," ran through several stop signs and red lights, and even ran over Blake's foot when he gathered up enough courage to jump out of the vehicle.

Lohan also allegedly threatened that "she knew people who could mess up their lives if they told anyone about" the incident and she could get away with it "because she was a celebrity she could do whatever she wants."

The trio is seeking unspecified compensatory and punitive damages for negligence, assault, battery, false imprisonment (in the SUV), intentional infliction of emotional distress, conversion and trespass to chattels (both referring to Nigro only for the use of his vehicle) and slander (Sutter only for Lohan claiming to police that he had driven the vehicle).

Lohan's camp claims that the guys' story doesn't hold any water. Attorney Ed McPherson claims the suit is "absurd" and that "These guys had the night of their lives, playing with the radio and leaving the vehicle at one point and getting back in."

In the suit, the remaining two guys, Nigro and Sutter claim that when Lohan stopped at Graham's house, each had re-entered or stayed in the vehicle respectively because they thought their ordeal was over since the actress had reached her target's home. Upon seeing Graham's mother Michelle Peck's leaving though, Lohan jumped in the car to gave chase again.

In August 2007, Tracie Rice, a passenger in the car driven by Peck, filed a suit against Lohan for an undisclosed amount for assault, negligence and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Around that time, Lohan pleaded guilty to cocaine use and driving under the influence and was sentenced to one day in jail and 10 days community service. She was also ordered to pay fines and complete an alcohol education program, and was placed on three years probation. Later, she spent nearly two months in Utah's Cirque Lodge Treatment Center.
