Singer, actor exchange vows in the Bahamas

Singer Mariah Carey and actor Nick Cannon got married in the Bahamas this week. Probably.

The 39-year-old Carey and the 27-year-old Cannon exchanged vows Wednesday on a small island. There's been no official word from either celeb's camps, but a member of Cannon's family told E! News that Nick called to say the ceremony had taken place.

The story first broke in Latina magazine, which reports that only a handful of people, including rapper and long-time Carey pal Da Brat, attended the ceremony.

Carey and Cannon met earlier this year when he appeared in the video for her song "Bye, Bye." Rumors that the two were an item started flying soon after that, and speculation about an impending wedding ramped up last week when Cannon accompanied Carey to the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, and she was sporting a huge diamond ring on her finger.

The marriage is the second for Carey; she and music executive Tommy Mottola were married for five years in the 1990s. Cannon was formerly engaged to model Selita Ebanks, but they broke off their relationship last year. Some reports noted that the ring Carey wore last week was similar to one Cannon gave Ebanks, but both People and Us say it's not the same one.
