Matthew Settle will enjoy fatherhood by late winter

Matthew Settle, unlike his alter ego Rufus Humphrey, will only get his first taste of being a dad later this year.

The " Gossip Girl" star and his wife Naama Nativ, are expecting their first child this winter, reports the Celebrity Baby Blog.

Settle, 38, and actress/model Nativ wed in 2006. They were seen recently at the Preschool Toys and Electronics Launch Party in New York.

Settle is best known for playing the recently single dad Rufus, father to Dan and Jenny Humphrey, on The CW's hit show "Gossip Girl." Previous to that he appeared on "Brothers & Sisters."
