Natascha McElhone is currently pregnant with their third child

Pregnant "Californication" star Natascha McElhone's husband was found dead at their London home. He was 42.

The body of Dr. Martin Hirigoyen Kelly, a plastic surgeon, was found slumped on the doorstep of his house by a friend, another doctor, on Tuesday, May 20, reports the Times Online.

Paramedics tired to revive him, but he was pronounced dead on arrival at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

"It's still a mystery about the death," Kelly's stepfather Roy Greenslade told UK's Daily Mail. "It's so unexpected. Such a fit, handsome, fighting fit young man of 42. So we are in a bit of a terrible state to be honest."

It is thought that he may have suffered a heart attack.

Kelly was known as the "king of rhinoplasty" in celebrity circles and published more than 30 papers on plastic surgery. He was a co-founder of a charity to treat children from poor countries with severe facial deformity.

McElhone, 36, is currently pregnant with their third child. Their other two children are Theodore, 8, and Otis, 5.

McElhone was filming in the U.S. at the time of her husband's death and is now returning to London.

The actress is known for "The Truman Show" and "Solaris." On Showtime's "Californication," she plays Karen, the ex-girlfriend of David Duchovny's character. The series has been renewed for a second season, which will premiere sometime this summer.
