'Top Model's' Bianca and Nikki Blonsky's Assault Charges Dropped
The actress' father Carl Blonsky will still face charges of grievous bodily harm
Both the model and "Hairspray" star Nikki Blonsky have been cleared of assault charges stemming from a summer arrest for a tussle in the Caribbean, according to celebrity news reports.
The young women, both 20, were booked on July 29 at the Providenciales International Airport in Turks and Caicos for an altercation between their two families. Apparently, the actress had tried to save seats for her family by placing luggage there, but this meant that Golden and her mom had nowhere to sit. Nasty words were exchanged and fists flew.
Blonsky had to wear a neck brace as a result, and Golden's mother Elaine was airlifted to a Miami hospital due to head injuries sustained from the brawl.
Following the incident, Blonsky had been charged with assault and actual bodily harm while Golden was accused of bodily harm. Both have been cleared of charges. Only the actress' father, Carl Blonsky, remains charged. He has pleaded not guilty to grievous bodily harm.
Golden's post-"Top Model" career has been fruitful. She's signed with a New York and South African modeling agency, has appeared in Macy's ads, numerous magazines and as a New York fashion week model, including a finale show for "Project Runway."
Blonsky is scheduled to play an assistant at a rival fashion magazine on the Jan. 8 episode of "Ugly Betty."
