'American Idol' Winner Says 'I Do'
Ruben Studdard got hitched -- where else? -- in Alabama
"American Idol" champ Ruben Studdard and Surata Zuri McCants got married Saturday, June 28, in his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama, reports People.
Studdard, 29, and McCants, 30, tied the knot at Canterbury United Methodist Church. The Velvet Teddy Bear decided to forego his usual "205" jerseys and opted for a more traditional tuxedo. He also had 20 groomsmen as accessories.
The reality TV show star met his future wife in October 2006 after he followed her from his CD signing in an Atlanta Wal-Mart to the store's toy department to score her digits.
Studdard has released "Soulful," "I Need an Angel" and "The Return." His fourth CD is due to drop later this year.
