No Pinky Amputation for Shia LaBeouf
Reports of his imminent surgery have been greatly exaggerated
The "Transformers" actor will not have his pinky finger amputated although his hand was seriously crushed in a car crash last month, report new sources.
Previously, the ever-reliable Star Magazine had claimed that LaBeouf would have the finger on his left hand removed, a story that his publicist Melissa Kates denies.
LaBeouf's hand injury will be written into the "Transformers" sequel, which he's shooting with Michael Bay.
The "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" star was injured when his Ford pickup rolled over in a late-night accident in July. Although he was busted for DUI, officers ascertained that another vehicle running a red light was at fault for the accident.
Currently, there's talk that LaBeouf is considering a stint in rehab to help his chances of beating a drunk-driving conviction.
Next up, the actor stars in the thriller "Eagle Eye," hitting theaters on Friday, Sept. 26.
