This will be the couple's first child together

Tim Allen will soon have a new, age-appropriate audience for his family films.

The comedian and his wife Jane Hajduk are expecting a baby in the spring, reports People.

"Tim and Jane are ecstatic about the upcoming birth of their first child together," says the actor's rep.

Allen was previously married to his college sweetheart Laura Deibel with whom he has a teenage daughter, Kady.

He and Hajduk dated for five years before tying the knot in October 2006 in Colorado.

Allen's most recent films include "Wild Hogs" and "The Santa Clause 3."
