"Austin Powers" actor Verne Troyer is recovering after being rushed to the hospital.

The actor who popularized the Mini-Me role in the "Austin Powers" films was taken to a Canadian hospital after experiencing "flu-like symptoms," reports Usmagazine.com.

Troyer, 39, was shooting "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" in Burnaby, British Columbia at the time. The Terry Gilliam-directed film was the project Heath Ledger was working on at the time of his death.

Troyer was reportedly treated for dehydration, which his rep denies implies a drug-related problem.

"Verne is fine and doing well and is back to work," says the rep.

Troyer appeared on the fourth season of "The Surreal Life," in which he gained notoriety when he got drunk and urinated in the corner of the house. He also went about the house nude on his scooter. He checked into rehab for alcoholism in 2006.

This summer, Troyer reunites with Mike Myers in "The Love Guru."
