It's a girl for the 'Made of Honor' actress

Busy Philipps just got busier.

The former "Dawson's Creek" actress and her screenwriter husband Marc Silverstein welcomed a baby girl into the family on Thursday, Aug. 14, reports People.

Birdie Leigh Silverstein weighed 9 lbs., 7 oz. and measured was 21 1/2 inches long.

Philipps, 29, and Silverstein, who wed in 2007, named "The Class" actress Lizzy Caplan as Birdie's godmother. Philipps herself is the godmother to the late Heath Ledger and actress Michelle Williams' daughter Mathilda, along with Jake Gyllenhaal as godfather.

Even though Philipps was in her third trimester, she continued to tape episodes of "The Sarah Connor Chronicles." Her other credits include "Freaks and Geeks," the short-lived "Love, Inc." and on the big screen, "White Chicks" and "Made of Honor." Silverstein's credits include "Never Been Kissed" and the upcoming "He's Just Not That Into You."
