Jamie Foxx fends off hotel intruder
A man claiming to be Beyonce's producer tried to infiltrate Oscar winner's room
A man was arrested Tuesday, March 31 for trying, but not succeeding to push his way into the "Ray" star's hotel room a few days earlier, reports TMZ.com.
On Sunday, March 22, Foxx, 41, was chillin' in his room at the AKA Hotel in Philadelphia, when a man knocked on his door and claimed to be Beyonce's producer.
The actor opened the door, and before you can say "Candygram," the unknown man tried to force his way inside the room. No dummy, Foxx knew something was amiss and was able to use his muscle to overpower the invader, shove him out and slam the door in his face.
As Foxx metaphorically dusted off his hands and blew on his knuckles, the man fled from the scene.
He would have been wise to stay away, but the suspect was seen Tuesday still hanging around the neighborhood, a few blocks away from the hotel. Foxx's security swiftly contacted the authorities, and the perp was arrested for burglary, criminal threats, stalking, false imprisonment and harassment.
Foxx last appeared in "The Kingdom" and next stars opposite Robert Downey, Jr. in "The Soloist," which opens nationwide on Friday, April 24.
