Melanie Chisholm is a first-time mum

Sporty Spice has completed the next generation of Spice Girls.

Melanie Chisholm, better known as Sporty Spice, became the proud mother of a baby girl on Sunday, Feb. 22, she announced on her website.

Titled, "A New Arrival!," the post read:

"Melanie C gave birth to a beautiful little girl at 4.10 pm on Sunday, 22nd February. The baby weighed 8 lb 3oz. Both Mum and baby, named Scarlet Starr, are doing fine."

This is the first child for Chisholm, 35, and her longtime boyfriend, property developer Thomas Starr.

Chisholm was the last holdout among her "Spice World" co-stars and fellow Spice Girl band members -- including Victoria Beckham, Melanie Brown, Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton -- to have a child.
