'Medium' Star Patricia Arquette Files for Divorce
She and actor Thomas Jane have been married for over two years
The 40-year-old actress filed for divorce from actor Thomas Jane on Monday, Jan. 5 in Los Angeles Superior Court, reports People.
Arquette cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split. She is seeking sole legal and physical custody of their daughter, Harlow Olivia Calliope, with Jane, 39, getting visitation rights.
Arquette is requesting that Jane be denied spousal support and she's not seeking any for herself.
The couple first met through friends in 2001 and later wed in June 2006 in Venice, Italy.
Arquette was previously married to actor Nicolas Cage. She also has a 19-year-old son, Enzo, with musician Paul Rossi.
Arquette, sister of actress Rosanna Arquette and brother of David Arquette, has appeared in numerous films, including "True Romance," "Flirting With Disaster" and "Lost Highway." On "Medium," she currently plays paranormal psychic Allison DuBois who communicates with the dead, heeds prophetic dreams and reads people's thoughts in order to help the police solve violent crimes.
Jane has guest starred on "Medium" and has a movie career of his own that includes "Deep Blue Sea," "The Punisher" and "The Mist."
