Replacing original series regular Kate Jackson, model-turned-actress Shelley Hack became the first single-season "Angel" with this year of producers Aaron Spelling and Leonard Goldberg's show about female private eyes working for an unseen boss (voice of John Forsythe).

Hack's character – Tiffany Welles – was introduced in an episode set aboard "The Love Boat," in an example of Spelling synergy.

David Doyle continued as intermediary Bosley, and Farrah Fawcett made a couple of return appearances as Jill Munroe. *** (Not rated: AS, V)
