Characters from a book wreak havoc on the real world in this adaptation of Cornelia Funk's novel, with offbeat-adventure specialist Brendan Fraser playing the man responsible for the turn of events.

He tries to set things straight, especially since her daughter (Eliza Bennett) wants her mother (Sienna Guillory), who was sent into the book when the others emerged from it.
