One of this year's top hits on the independent film circuit, this engrossing romance plays around liberally with time as it charts the affair of a greeting card writer (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and a free spirit ( Zooey Deschanel). As the title suggests, a year and a half is the life span of the relationship, which the story picks up at various points by moving back and forth over its history.

Matthew Gray Gubler ("Criminal Minds"), Clark Gregg and Minka Kelly ("Friday Night Lights") also are in director Marc Webb's excellent cast.
