Jeff Goldblum has been a television presence lately on "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," but he reconfirms what a powerful feature-film star he can be in veteran filmmaker Paul Schrader's ("American Gigolo") drama about a concentration-camp survivor who generally hides the resulting trauma well. That changes when he meets a troubled youngster in a psychiatric hospital.
