An amusement park is the main backdrop for this enjoyable coming-of-age story from "Superbad" director Greg Mottola, casting Jesse Eisenberg as a recent college graduate circa 1987.

Hoping to make enough money for a trip with his pals, he takes a job at the park and promptly falls for a co-worker ( Kristen Stewart, "Twilight"), but she's involved with another employee ( Ryan Reynolds) of questionable repute.

The blasts-from-the-past soundtrack features INXS, Crowded House, David Bowie and Lou Reed. DVD extras: "making-of" documentary; audio commentary by Mottola and Eisenberg; deleted scenes. *** (R: AS, P) (Also on Blu-ray)
