'All in the Family: The Complete Ninth Season'

The final year of the classic, famously controversial sitcom sowed the seeds for the spinoff "Archie Bunker's Place," as Danielle Brisebois joined the cast as young relative Stephanie.

She becomes a household member in this set of episodes, and even though Rob Reiner and Sally Struthers no longer were series regulars, they resurfaced as Mike and Gloria in a two-part story that took Archie and Edith (Carroll O'Connor, Jean Stapleton) across the country for a visit to them. *** (Not rated: AS, P)
