On DVD shortly after its debut on Cartoon Network, this live-action movie based on the animated series casts Ryan Kelley in the title role of the young hero who thinks his work is done with his victory over the Forever Knights.

Not so: His friend Elana (Alyssa Diaz) wants his help in locating her father, who has disappeared, but she's not necessarily telling him everything. Barry Corbin ("Northern Exposure") plays Max's grandfather. *** (Not rated: V)
