The original series was starting to wind down by the time it reached this year, which saw the exit of Valerie ( Tiffani-Amber Thiessen) and the arrival of Gina (Vanessa Marcil), who made things complicated for the newly returned Dylan ( Luke Perry) – especially after his failure to rekindle a romance with Kelly ( Jennie Garth).

Also added to the show was later "Guiding Light" Daytime Emmy winner Daniel Cosgrove as Matt Durning, an attorney who became Kelly's new flame. *** (Not rated: AS, P)
