Only in the movies – or in novels by Sophie Kinsella, on which this comedy is based – could someone with spending-control issues land a job with a financial magazine.

That role falls to the engaging Isla Fisher ("Wedding Crashers"), whose bubbly, zany quality works well as she attracts her new boss (Hugh Dancy).
