After spending recent years on such bigger-budgeted efforts as the " Spider-Man" movies, director Sam Raimi returned to the genre that helped him make his name.

This horror tale casts Alison Lohman ("White Oleander") as a bank employee who literally is cursed by an elderly woman whose eviction from home she causes by denying a loan.
