The title also is the description of this beautifully shot, Disney-sanctioned documentary about our planet – and some of the footage may look familiar to fans of the Discovery Channel project "Planet Earth," since certain scenes are taken from that.

The unmistakable voice of James Earl Jones intones the narration that underscores various views of nature, from polar bears in the Arctic to humpback whales making their way across the Pacific. The George Fenton-composed score is performed by the Berlin Philharmonic. *** (G) (Also on Blu-ray)
