One day is the basis for a survey of many lives in many countries in this documentary, assembled by producer Ridley Scott ("Black Hawk Down") and director Kevin Macdonald ("The Last King of Scotland") from YouTube videos - more than 80,000 of them - submitted for consideration for the film.
