Here he comes to save the day, again ... but not in the way he originally did in a classic 1950s show, and parents should be very aware of that before the kids sit down in front of this. This is a considerably more adult take on the cartoon, courtesy of satirical animator Ralph Bakshi, who puts big spins on familiar characters (also including the hero's true love, Pearl Pureheart) in updating the concept considerably. *** (Not rated: AS)
