'NCIS: Los Angeles -- The First Season'

With the success of the parent show, itself a spawn of "JAG," it was inevitable that CBS would go for a spinoff. Chris O'Donnell and LL Cool J are teamed, surprisingly effectively, in this adventure series following the cases of more operatives of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service.

Oscar winner Linda Hunt ("The Year of Living Dangerously") plays the duo's boss, and Rocky Carroll makes crossover appearances in his "NCIS" role.
