A genuine phenomenon of this movie year, director Oren Peli's lower-than-low-budget thriller became a massive hit through clever marketing and word-of-mouth. Not as unknown now as they were when the film initially was released, Micah Sloat and Katie Featherston play a young couple whose new house seems to be possessed; they resort to using video equipment to determine what's causing the trouble, and big scares result.
