The first season of the latest series in the "Stargate" universe arrives on video, as Robert Carlyle ("The Full Monty") heads the cast of the saga about the spaceship Destiny and its human cargo. The travelers have been placed on an unknown course far from Earth, and their struggle to return home involves them with all sorts of enemies – including some directly among them. Brian J. Smith and David Blue are among the other regular cast members.

"Stargate SG-1" veterans Richard Dean Anderson and Amanda Tapping also make appearances. DVD extras: audio commentary by cast and crew members; cast profiles; "video diaries." *** (Not rated: AS, P, V) (Also on Blu-ray)
