'True Blood: The Complete Second Season'

With its third round on the horizon on HBO, the sophomore round of producer Alan Ball's ("Six Feet Under") Louisiana-set vampire drama advances the saga of waitress Sookie and bloodsucker Bill (Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer) as the division between the area's humans and nonhumans deepens.

While the mysterious Maryanne Forrester (Michelle Forbes) increases her impact on the region, Sookie heads for Texas after being enlisted to help find an ancient vampire.
