DVD Review: 'Across the Universe'
Numerous extras demystify film set to the music of the Fab Four
The music of the Beatles informs this ambitious, 1960s-set musical drama from director Julie Taymor, whose stage successes include "The Lion King." Evan Rachel Wood plays the new love of a British emigrant (Jim Sturgess), but their relationship faces challenges from the turbulent times.The characters often break into the Fab Four's songs. Salma Hayek, Eddie Izzard and U2's Bono also appear.
